What is it?

Work and Income may help with your dental treatment costs at our clinic if you meet certain criteria.

To qualify, you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, usually live in New Zealand, and intend to stay. Help is available for urgent or essential dental needs, including those for a dependent child.

Your eligibility also depends on your household’s income and assets. To check your personal eligibility or learn more, please visit the Work and Income website.

You can apply for up to $1,000 within any 52-week period to cover immediate and essential dental treatment. You don’t have to pay this back.

If your dental costs exceed $1,000, Work and Income may still be able to provide support. However, depending on your circumstances, you might be required to repay some of this amount.
