Dr. Andrew is a board-certified dentist with over 20 years of experience, licensed to practice in the United States, South Korea, and New Zealand.

Education

Dr. Hong holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh (USA), completed a Surgical Residency at the Misch Implant Institute (USA), and obtained a Master of Clinical Dentistry from Ajou University (South Korea).

Throughout his career, Dr. Hong has amassed noteworthy achievements, including establishing a thriving private practice in Columbus, Ohio (USA) for over 7 years. Additionally, he served as the department chief at a prominent government-operated hospital in Korea, where he gained invaluable experience by successfully treating hundreds of challenging cases each year, further enhancing his expertise in the field of dentistry.

New Chapter & Beyond

In 2017, Dr. Andrew relocated to New Zealand with his family, embarking on a new chapter by establishing Star Dental in Auckland. This private practice is dedicated to family dentistry and specializes in dental implants, reflecting his unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive oral care.

With a genuine spirit of care and compassion, Dr. Andrew not only exemplifies excellence as a dentist but also takes the time to attentively listen to your concerns. His empathetic approach fosters a comforting environment, assuring patients that their needs are heard and understood.

Dr. Cindy Lee

Cindy was born in New Zealand and grew up on the shore in Auckland. She completed her dental degree from Griffith University in Australia and has worked in Auckland, Rotorua and Whangarei. She first decided to study dentistry after realising how important teeth and oral health is for the whole body from a school trip to rural Thailand. Her special interests in dentistry include restorative, dentures, and paediatric dentistry.
She understands dental treatment can be fearful for many and so her primary goal is to provide treatment while minimising any dental anxieties.

When she is not working she loves to look after her toddler and spend time with family. She also enjoys running and delicious food!
Cindy is fluent in both English and Korean.

Dr. Grace Oh

BDS (University of Otago)

Grace is a New Zealand trained dentist and enjoys creating a relaxed environment for our patients. She has worked in Urgent Care and Oral Surgery at the University of Otago and is committed to improving patient awareness about dental health.

She has a soft spot for creating beautiful smiles and keeps up with the latest advances in minimally-invasive and biomimetic dentistry. You will find that she has a caring and gentle touch and can take the fear out of dental extractions, root canal therapy and implants. In her spare time she enjoys music and photography. Grace is fluent in English and Korean.

Hygienist

Emma is a graduate of the University of Otago in 2019, with a Bachelor of Oral Health. As an oral health therapist, she provides dental hygiene services. She is passionate about improving oral health and wellbeing through a holistic approach.
